There! Over Al Roker's left shoulder...

My sister-in-law alerted me to a sighting of Letters From Rapunzel on the Today Show!!! Yup. Al Roker talks to Trenton Lee Stewart, author of The Mysterious Benedict Society, and if you pause the tape between 2:43 and 2:49 minutes in, you can clearly see Rapunzel over Al's shoulder. (His left shoulder, to the right as he faces you.)

  4. I think it's there because the Mysterious Benedict Society is about gifted kids, and LFR fits in that category too. But that's just a guess!

  5. It's still tremendously cool! I am squealing, and I'm not even the author, so I bet you're on Cloud Nine.

  8. HOW COOL! Isn't it weird to have your book out there doing things you aren't even aware of? I always find evidence of this kind of surreal with my book, although it has not, by any means, appeared on a morning show. ;)

(I'm halfway through Operation Yes, by the way. I'm loving it.)

  10. I gave up long ago on telling my books what to do and where to go. Now I just hope to have them check in with me every once in a while. :)

Adrienne, you're the first reader I know of to score an ARC of Operation Yes. From BEA? Or do all the ARCs run straight from their publishers to libraries with cute purple booths and librarians with even cuter shoes?

  12. I just showed this to Anne-with-an-e and she's delighted, too! But, we're not surprised. Be sure to tell us when to tune in to YOUR appearance with Al! :) Surely it's upcoming!
