Aretha's got it; some graphic novels do too

I'll be back with my NY SCBWI posts shortly. I had some Cybils poetry judging duties to attend to. (Announcements are on Thursday!)

But as an Aretha fan, and a fascinated observer of the development of graphic novels, I had to put this out there for you:

What the heck do Aretha and graphic novels have to do with each other?

  1. Uh, both at one point have demanded our respect? (the latter, 'cause people for so many years were dismissive of comics and other graphically-sequenced stories)....
