without being given a second thought

It spills on the floor so fine
we step all over it

I needed "love like salt" this week. And I was blessed, because it flowed. Amen.

  1. How lovely Sara! I'll have to carry this one around in my wineskin too. Thank God for the love passed around.

  4. Holy crap. That's not a very eloquent thing to say in response to such an eloquent poem, but that has brought tears to my eyes. Leave it to Mueller. I've never read that poem before.

What a perfect prayer of a post.

  5. I appreciate this poem. The "love like salt" motif (and variations) in fairy tales is one of my favorites.

  7. What a profound, yet banal description of love. I really like that.

  8. I love all the reminders about how we carry salt with us...especially the pinch behind our eyes.
