Why Everyone Needs Writers

This makes me laugh whenever I read it.

From Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's joint press statement about the writers strike:

"We would like to return to work with our writers. If we cannot, we would like to express our ambivalence, but without our writers, we are unable to express something as nuanced as ambivalence."
Okay, NOW I really am going on a blog break. I'm ambivalent about it, but I'm doing it anyway.

  1. I'm going to have to read the press release now - but that excerpt made me laugh too. I think I'll tape it on my wall in my home office.

Oh, wait my home office has been taken over by Polly Pockets. Maybe it's time to Take. It. Back.

    Merry Christmas!

  5. That is *great* (the best word I can muster without the help of additional writers.) I love Stewart and Colbert.

And, just have to tell you that Ramona (age 5) just looked over my shoulder at your picture and said, "Why is she taped to the wall?"

  6. Ramona, don't tell anyone else, but I'm actually on top of my dining room table. With my shoes on!

  7. Wonder who wrote the press release? Hmmm.........darn those pesky writers. Can't they be like oompa loompas and just work for free?
