At the prom
Looking for me? I'm not here. This Cinderella's been invited to the prom. And I plan to dance for a long, long time. (Midnight? Pish-posh! With the right shoes, anything is possible...)
I'm not a big shoe gal (I'd rather go barefoot if I can get away with it), but shoot I am a girl, and I have to say those are some savagely cool shoes pictured there.
Thanks for gracing our blog by consenting to an interview.
That was a terrific interview at 7-Imp. I loved your poem and your use of repetition. Can't wait to read a book of your published poems sometime in the not-too-distant future.
I'm not showing my daughter this post. She owns more shoes than Imelda Marcos ever did!
I am sorry I missed this the other day (still diging out from everything that piled up while I was away on vacation--ah but it's good to be home), but I am so glad you'd dance with me. :)
(Incidentally, I'm at the library right now, and there is a small child who keeps coming up every minute or so and asking me for a piece of tape. She must have eight or nine of them now. What is she *doing* with them? I must investigate.)
What a great interview, Sara!

Great interview, Prom Queen! Would love a poem about shoes :).
ReplyDeleteAwesome interview, and those shoes rock. I'm kind of a Birkenstock gal myself but whooo-eee, are those cute!

Love the interview and love the shoes!
ReplyDeleteClick your heels together three times and repeat.... oh wait, that's a DIFFERENT fairytale.
ReplyDeleteShoes ARE very important...
I confess that I kick off my shoes the moment I enter my house, and go barefoot most of the day. But, but...I do love me a pair of dramatic shoes.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview! Way better than shoes.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview, cute baby picture and awesome poem!
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are unreal.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview, Sara! I love finding out even more about you. What's with your secret life in Colonial Williamsburg? Juicy . . .
